In advance of the 2017 BC Election, CMHA BC contacted all 304 candidates running for office across the 87 electoral districts. We asked each candidate from every party not only if they stood with us in calling for an equitable system of care, but also if they would commit to the actions listed beneath each pillar of the b4stage4 declaration for better mental health in our province.
We asked:
Do you stand with CMHA BC in calling for (i) a focus on prevention and early intervention, (ii) an accessible addictions health care system, (iii) stronger community-based care, (iv) improved crisis care, and (v) leadership for mental health and addictions?
